Overview - Yucca is a succulent that grows throughout the southern United States. Tribes of the Southwest use the yucca’s leaves to make soaps, shampoos and other hygiene related items, including dental floss.
Medicinal Uses - Yucca is used for osteoarthritis, high blood pressure, migraine headaches, inflammation of the intestine (colitis), high cholesterol, stomach disorders, diabetes, poor circulation, and liver and gallbladder disorders.
Other Uses – In manufacturing, yucca extract is used as a foaming and flavoring agent in carbonated beverages.
